replacement printer required

My Epson r800 has failed and I need a new a4 printer for making digital negatives using an all black inkset. Looking at the list of supported printers and the current Epson printers, I'm struggling to find something compatible. I am only just getting my head around the software so this may be very basic, but can I use qtr with any Epson inkjet printer, or is there a place where new printer config files are storred when Epson releases new models?
