Using Curve View

Using Curve View

2015-08-18 by jthacker@...

I'm having trouble finding the quad file which I installed using the drag and drop app. The curve shows up in the QTR print dialog as one of the curves in the Curves 1 menu. Curve View works when I drag a .quad file on it. It does not work when I drag the corresponding .txt file on it --- or I don't know how to make it work for a .txt file. The install works but I can't find where QTR puts the installed files so I can use the Curve View app. I searched the mac for ".quad" and didn't find any quad files. I have not been able to find out how to view hidden files on a mac. Is it in a hidden folder? If so, how can if view the folder. How can I locate the .quad files.
I'm on a Mac running Yosemite.
Thanks
John

With MAC OSX, From the main system folder, go,

Library>Printers>QTR>Quadtone>QuadPrinter.

Sandy

How can I locate the .quad files.

CurveView will only work with .quad files, so it will not open the corresponding .txt file.

I encourage people to put an alias to the folder Sandy referenced on the desktop or as a shortcut in the Finder sidebar. It makes it easy to go back and forth from that to the applications/quadtonerip/profiles/printerModel folder. I have a sidebar shortcut for every printer I use, as well as a shortcut to the folder with the measurement files. If you are actively testing or making new profiles it makes it a lot easier/faster getting around.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
