Error messages when trying to use the QTR4900 modules in QTRGui

Hi all,
I am working through the QTRGui these last days, and it is proving to be a bit less smooth than expected!
In the same way another user reported a few months ago, I am having constant error messages when trying to use the QTR4900 module. Basically, I obtain error messages when trying to open the curve creator in QTRGui for this module:
access violation at address 004058F7 in module 'QTRgui.exe?. Read of address 00000018

Then, when I try to save a curve file, I also obtain error:
access violation at address 00458CD8 in module 'QTRgui.exe?. Read of address 000001CD
To end with, when clicking on the button "Show curve", I obtain the error message:

Error 32
Now, all these errors happen only when having selected the QTR4900 module... if I use the 3880 module, then everything works fine... Same thing happened to Wallace, the other user who reported these problems.
Any idea any of you? This is really driving me crazy.
By the way, I have tried to uninstall, make sure no old installation files still exist and then making new installations, and the problem persists. I have tried in different root folders too... nothing improves!
