QTR-Quadtone RIP

I have noticed that V. 2.3.2 is expecting linearly descending L* 
values.  If there is a reversal in the curve or even if the curve 
flattens out (providing two consecutive identical numbers) the program 
gives the message "LAB data not in order" and does not make a profile.

I got around this by simply adjusting one number in the text file 
by .01 to make it numerically lower than the preceeding number.

Is this behavior intended?
