Add printer

2005-10-25 by harrylittell

Dear Group,

My students at the local community college are using the QuadtoneRIP on an Epson 4000
hooked up to a Mac with OS 10.3. One of the students went into the print center and
accidentally deleted the QuadtonRIP. I went to "add printer" to try to get it back but it's not
there. Any suggestions on how to get it back?

One more question. At the school we also have a couple 2200's connected to Macs with
earlier versions of OSX. I understand I need some kind of ghost script to make the Quadtone
RIP work with this. Coule someone direct me to a site with the appropriate ghost script to get
this up and running?

Thanks in advance.

Harry

Harry,

To get the printer back, reopen the download diskimage (.dmg). Under
Profiles/4000-UC there's an Install4000 script. This setups the
printer for you.

Only the older OS X 10.2 Jaguar requires Ghostscript. See the
Tutorial.pdf
it has info about finding it.
