Deleting Profiles

Deleting Profiles

2016-09-20 by Douglas Taylor

This is more of a housekeeping question.

I’m on an iMac running 10.11.6, using QTR 2.7.7, and Print-Tool 1.1.0

I have created quite a few profiles and some of them I no longer use, so I deleted the profile .txt and it’s accompanying quad file .quad. However, when I print through QTR, the name of the deleted profile still shows as a choice in the Curve drop down menu? Is there a way to delete what is shown in this drop down menu?

Thanks for any suggestions, Doug Taylor

Interesting. They disappear for me. When I delete the .quad file I delete all of them before using the reinstall function.

Curves must be delete in both the Profiles folder as well as in the corresponding folder in /Library/Printers/qtr/quadtone

Then delete and re-install the printer.

If you delete the QTR profile in the Profile folder for the printer in question, and then delete the .suad file for that printer in /Library/Printers/qtr/quadtone, the profile should not be available.

Could be that you have a couple of versions of QTR installed on your hard drive, or perhaps you have not deleted the default setting in your printing application. If using Print Tool you will need to close it and start up again after installing a new printer or profiles.

That did the trick Walker. I was not deleting and re-installing the printer.
Thanks much for the assistance! Doug

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
