newbie question - help pleasse - create curves

Hello all. I am a newbie who is struggling to get my head around the basics! Please help!!
There is clearly something I am not understanding....
I am wanting to create a custom curve for a matt cotton paper on my 9890 using my i1.
The instructions say "If your paper choices extend beyond QTR-supplied curves, you can easily do a custom linearization, creating your own curves. [] In addition to the paper-specific curves..QTR includes a set of raw curves, to be used as a starting point when creating your own.
The instructions go on the say to open up "appropriate raw curve from the QuadTone Rip/Profiles"
My Profiles folder (uc9890) has no raw files for matt papers
My Profile folder also has no 'neutral' file for matt papers. All the supplied matt curves are toned (cool. warm etc).
Where do I get a raw neutral matt file? I have looked in the other Profile folders but can't find a raw neutral file for a printer with the same inkset?
Am I being completely dim?
