Would QuadToneRIP work on an Epson XP-960?

I purchased QT RIP a while back to use it on an Epson P600 and it works wonderfully: Very happy with it!
The question I have is: I just bought an Epson XP-960 (Expression Photo) and even though this printer uses the same Claria inks used in several other printers, I have not been able to make it work at all: Can't get it to print at all. (Choosing one printer caused endless clean sheets of paper to come out)
Has anyone been able to use the software on a printer model not listed in the menu of supported printers?
Just need it for purging the magenta channel at this time.
Thought I ask in case a kind soul has been able to make it work and can share the trick.
