Boost question for Roy

Boost question for Roy

2017-08-08 by david@...

Hi Roy. I am doing some experimentation and need to know if Boost only works on K, or will work on any ink I assign it to. Like...

LIMIT_C=50

BOOST_C=55

and if I can do it once, can I do it to more than one ink at a time?

The boost is applied to whatever ink is in the Gray_Ink_1= position so you can't boost the C ink and the K ink

Here's a post I wrote about the black boost setting last year or so : https://www.bwmastery.com/blog/2016/the-qtr-black-boost-setting

If you buy my deluxe QuadToneProfiler tools the Quad Smoothing tool had a boost setting similar to the formula used in the QTR curve creation program that will allow you to boost all the inks. You can also manually edit the control points to boost individual inks.

Hope that helps,
