QTR "ink limit"

QTR "ink limit"

2017-08-16 by skapuskar@...

Hello all,
just a quick question, how does the main "ink limit" value work?

Let's say I have a limit set to 60 on one of the ink channels.

If I set the main ink limit value to 80%, will this result in 80% of that 60 ink limit = 48 for that particular channel (and all other channels)?

Thank you for any insight.

Sidney

It's probably what in the Windows gui is labeled as "default" ink limit.

Are you referring to the ink limit in the print dialog window under advanced settings or in the ink descriptor file default ink limit setting?

If you mean the slider in the print dialog window it is just a +- % if the ink level in the quad curves.

If you mean the one in the ink descriptor file it just means that any ink that has a limit setting left blank will use the default limit. If any ink channel has a limit set it will override the default limit for that ink only.

Hope that helps,

Thank you Richard + Paul,

yes, I was referring to the ink limit in the ink descriptor file, I understand it now :-)
