QTRGui "Image does not fit"

Newbie question: If I open an image in QTRGui and get the warning “Image does not fit” then what happens if I print despite the warning?
(1) The image will not be printed
(2) The image will be scaled to fit
(3) The image will be truncated to fit
I would experiment, but it's a big print and I can't afford to waste the ink.
