Does anyone else see a need to "Free Edit" Curves?

Does anyone else see a need to "Free Edit" Curves?

QTR for Windows has a lot of nice features. I like the auto
partitioning of gray inks. I'm using a MIS UT7 inkset on my 2200.

I created a lovely neutral profile using 5 of the 7 inks in the set. I
wanted to use that as a starting point to create a sepia profile. But
I couldn't add a curve shape that I wanted. It seems difficult or
impossible to do with QTR. Going to PS, creating a curve, and
importing it into QTR seems a difficult and laborious process.

Does anyone else see the ability to add a curve and edit it freely as
desireable? It would be very nice to have the ability to adjust a
curve on screen, without plugging in dozens of points.

I may well be missing something here, so if anyone has insights or
solutions, I'd love to know how to do this.

Thanks,

Lou
