Epson 7000 and piezography BW

Hi, Just inherited an Epson 7000 loaded with Piezography BW ICC inks ( selenium with portfolio black). I would like to build my own custom curve/profile for this combination to improve the output over the ICC supplied profiles, and rather than subscribe to the Iquad upgrade. I downloaded QTR which looks like it would do the trick. I do have an Eye-One, along with the Measure Tool with which to read patches if I could just get some guidance in wading through the procedures. It seems like I need to load some curves in the rip even before printing any targets? . I have a supply of Breathing color paper, and Epson smooth fine art to use. Martin Paul
