Densitometers for QTR

What reflection densitometers are the most popular with contributors to
this thread? There are always many for sale on eBay, but I'm a bit
puzzled as to which would be the most approprate (and affordable).

I bought the X-rite 810 off eBay and am very pleased with it. Make sure you get one that comes with the film and plate for calibration. Here s the manual.

I agree, an 810 is a joy. Better than my old x-rite 414.

Don't worry too much about the plate if the deal is good. According to
X-rite, the plates are only good for 2 years or 18 months, depending
on whether they're ceramic or cardboard. Although I've always wondered
how much one really fades in that time.
