QTR-Quadtone RIP

Hi,

I'm printing with UC inks on a 2200 with QTR version 2.3.15.0 and 
getting banding occurring about a 1/4 inch after beginning of printed 
area and again at about 1/4 inch before end of the printed area. It 
is not true banding in that a nozzle is misfiring. I say this because 
in one instance a black nozzle was actually firing in an area of the 
print that contained no image data.

I have researched the list and found similar instances of this 
problem but no clear solution.

I do not think this is a nozzle or alignment issue because I can 
print the same image, on the same paper (Epson VFA) using the Epson 
driver and the problem doesn't occur.

To make matters even worse, this is an intermittent problem.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.
