Curves for R1800

Hi, First of all, thanks for Roy for the nice tool for B&W printing. However, I've been trying QTR with a couple of prints on my Epson R1800 and I have a couple of questions: 1) The black profile looks quite brownish and the cool profile more like a neutral black on my prints. Similarly, the sepia profile is veeeery sepia ;-) Has anyone else had similar experience with these profiles, or is it just that my sample (printer) is way off? 2) I also tried to print the test image from http://www.northlight-images.co.uk/digital_black_white.html, where the circular patch showed a couple of quite distinctive "steps". Same question here, has anyone else tried printing this test image, and with what kind of results? 3) The only available profiles with Epson inks are for EEM paper. Are there any plans (hope) for other readily available, archival matte papers, such as Ilford Smooth Fine Art Paper or Epson Velvet Fine Art? Regards, Henrik
