R2400 and Drying Time

Dear Roy, I have experimented for quite a while with few printer Profile Maker, including your QuadToneRip. I have found the latter quite superior to using Photoshop with ICC and the Epson driver, even when printing with quite good profiles. However, there is one thing which is missing in QuadToneRip (while present in the Epson driver) which I found of paramount importance, expecially with same type of papers. This is the "Drying Time per print Head Pass" in the "Paper Config" dialog box. I found that setting the value to around the maximum produces a very small Dot Gain, expecially with some papers as the Watercolor types. You would notice this very clearly by printing very thin white lines on a black background. Also, the paper is less wet after the printing. I admit that setting a high drying time slows the printer to a cral, but the results are worth the wait. Do you think you could add that feature to your program? In that case, I will certainly stop using the Epson driver and be a happy (paying) full time user of QuadToneRip. Or, is there a trick to let the printer pause between passes? For the moment, I will just wait. In any case, thanks for the nice program you have created. Best regards Daniela
