Roy and all: Thanks for your helpful suggestions. I had done a little homework before asking about my posterized mid-tones and thought that I had cleared all the vent-holes . . . but another pass with a thin brad helped immensely. It is so much nicer to be able to concentrate on printing than on a process that is not working as expected! Thanks to all. Ben Marks
