Just upgraded. I wonder why every time I use the app, I have to reset my printing model and curves? In the 2.3 version I had prior, this was not the case. Yet my ink limit and gamma adjustments are remembered.

You should not have to. These settings are stored in an "ini" file in your Documents and Settings folder. Look under "Application Data/QuadToneRIP". The only reason the settings might not get updated is if QTRgui does not close normally. -Stephen www.sbillard.org/Stephen

Stephen My testing seems to confirm that a problem exists in this area. When I start up QTR now, the Printing Model model defaults to Quad2200. If select a curve set within that model, and exit, that curve set is still selected when I restart. However, if I select another model and curve set and then restart, the printer model reverts to Quad2200 Printing Model and the curve selection is reset to blank. This behaviour is different from the previous version (I think). On another note, if I start QTR and while it's already running (which I did by mistake), QTR crashes with an access violation. Obviously I shouldn't be doing that, but I shouldn't be able to cause a crash either. Thanks Stephen I tried out the new version. Both problems have been corrected - with lightning speed as usual. Tom Moore

My thanks to you for the excellent description of how to produce the problems. It is always easier to fix a problem that is well documented. -Stephen www.sbillard.org/Stephen
