first time setup with K6 and 1280

first time setup with K6 and 1280

2006-11-28 by camera3481

My K6 inks arrive soon and I have installed QTR in anticipation of
that day. My printer will be an Epson 1280 using the K6 inks and
Hahnemuhle Photo Rag paper. I've selected the printer and printing
model but am a little unsure about Curves in the Curves Setup. Do I
select K6-2800-HanPhotoRag in both boxes, leaving Blend at 50; or
K6-2800-HanPhotoRag in the left box only, leaving Blend at 50 or move
it to 100? It's a little unclear for a first timer with this software.
Any help, particularly screen captures would be appreciated. Thanks.

By now you probably have the information you need in the form of the
instructions that came with the K6 inks.

I received mine this week and everything was a breeze. Select 2880 for
all resolutions/paper choices. Only use the left hand curves box. Do
not use the right hand box (therefore, there is no blend).
