QTR and Epson 3800

Will there be an upgrade with QTR to accomodate the Epson 3800 any time
soon?

The driver for the 3800 is in the works. I've done what I can until
the local
store gets one so I can do some testing.

Thanks Roy. I have been playing with the "canned" Advanced B&W in the
machine and I must say that it ain't that bad. I always liked the
extra "punch" that QTR would give me on my 9600 though.

QTR and Epson 3800

2007-03-13 by larry_chait

I've been using a prior version of QTR successfully for some time with
my Epson 2200. I recently purchased a 3800 and downloaded the new
version of QTR which I understand supports three curves and allows
split toning. Two questions:

1. There do not appear to be any curves yet for the 3800. Is it
possible to use the available curves for the 4800 for the 3800? If
so, how would one do that? Do the curves have to be renamed or
something?

2. I have no experience with blending curves for split toning. There
doesn't seem to be any information in the user manual on how to use
the new sliders in the curve blending window of the new GUI. Can
someone point me to a basic tutorial on this subject? Or perhaps post
some examples to the Files section of the group?

Thanks for the help.
