R1800 Print Centering Problem

R1800 Print Centering Problem

2007-01-04 by mdhill60_1960

I have recently downloaded the QTR v2.4.3.10 and installed it, but
can't get it to print on both sides of the paper. Consistently, no
matter what orientation, print resolution or paper/blend combination I
use, the print is entirely black on the right 1/2 of the page,
followed by about a 1" space of black/white banding, lines running
vertical down the page (length-wise on portrait, width-wise on
landscape) with the photo distorted and squeezed onto the left-most
1/3 of the printed space.

What is up? I've tried all I know, with no avail.

I am using Windows XP/Photoshop CS2 to prepare photos, saved in tif.
Printer is the Epson R1800.

Thanks for your help.

This is similar to my experience -- started off with just stripes, and
now solid black. My 2100 prints perfectly from Lightroom or PS CS2.

Comforted that I'm not alone, but frustrated that the RIP doesn't
work. Any one out there able to help?

Best
