problem installing version 2.5 of qtr

problem installing version 2.5 of qtr

2007-02-19 by jamiek830

I'm trying to install version 2.5 on a pc, running WInXP pro.

The installation seems to be fine, until I try to run the application.

I get the error message"

QTRgui encountered an error "42519.6 is not a valid integer value"
processing "Printer:PrinterName" in the QTRgui.ini file. QTRgui.ini has
been renamed and all the settings have been reverted to default.

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Using an Epson 7600 with NK7 ink.

I also have the same problem.

Previous to install the QTR 2.5.0 I was using the 2.4.3.23 version
and it was running without a problem

I installed the QTR 2.5.0 and it gave me the problem "42519.6 is not
a floating point value". I read the message you posted and I
downloaded the QTRgui update (2.5.09) to fix the problem.

The way I did it was:
1.- I run the QTRcleanout
2.- I re-install the QTR 2.5.0 and the QTRgui update 2.5.09

After I did these steps I´m still having the same problem and the
system is giving me the same error message "42519.6 is not a floating
point value".

I work with Win XP pro and an Epson 7600 with K7 inks.

Could you please give some guidance?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Please be sure that the version of QTRgui is actually 2.5.0.9. Look at the
version number shown in the title bar of QTRgui. There is no need to run the
QTRcleanout program, just install the QTRgui update.

The error you are reporting has been corrected in this version of the software.

Well, I don’t know what to say. I cannot reproduce the error you describe on my
version of QTRgui. One thing you can do is open the Quad7600.ppd file with
Notepad (it is in the program files under QuadToneRIP/PPD. Find "42519.6" in the
file, it should be on a line that reads
*MaxMediaHeight: "42519.6"
Change it to read
*MaxMediaHeight: "42519"
Do the same with the line
*ParamCustomPageSize Height: 2 points 504 42519.6

Hi Stephen,

Only to report: I have the same problem here after update to version
2.5.0.9. I am using Epson 9600 and Neutral K7 inks.

I have edited the Quad9600.ppd and removed the ".6", and now it works.

Thanks.

OK, I see (from your email address) what the problem is. You use a comma, not a
decimal point as the decimal delimiter.

Roy is working on a 2.5.1 release. I'll try to get the fix for this into that
release.
