Best curve for Epson Premium Luster on a 1280

Best curve for Epson Premium Luster on a 1280

2007-03-04 by Rob

What curve would people recommend for an Epson 1280 using K6 and Epson
Premium Luster paper?
I have just installed the system and I am bascially testing and
experimenting.
So far I have good results with Matt and William Turner on William
Turner paper but when I try Premium Luster, one of my favourite
papers, results don't seem to be as as sharp/crisp and some prints
appear to be a bit washed out. The Premium Luster option is available
on the 1280 UTC but not the K6

thanks

RR

I think the K6 inks are for matte papers only.

Thanks Peter

I was figuring out that as was posting the message.
But for a newbie I found the Quadtone User Guide documentation
somewhat misleading. It says on page 7

Media Type is normally left as Matte Paper (even for non-matte papers)

which is why I initially assumed it would work with Premium Luster.
It might be a good idea to include an appendix that matches paper
with ink manufacturers, K6/K7, Epson and others.
