A Tip for EyeOne Users
2007-10-05 by johncjmd
The targets in the EyeOne folder are just a tad too wide for my Spectrophotometer to easily read white space at the spots marked Beg(inning) and End. So I loaded the ones I needed in Photoshop and scaled them slightly on the horizontal dimension. I was then able to make my first profile. But in the instructions there is reference to Drop-Quad-Profile. And there are all these Quad files. Is it necessary to make one of these in creating a profile? The one I made with the Curve Creation tool is a new Epson Matte 3K profile, since my R800 apparently puts out too much ink. It seems to be linearized and prints to my satisfaction. Now that I understand the process I look forward to profiling any paper I use consistently with QTRip. Thanks for the support of all who have answered my newbie posts. John
