QTR problems loading single sheets into R2400

I have encountered a problem with QTR when loading single sheets into a R2400. I previously used this printer and QTR with my laptop utilizing Vista. When I recently transferred printing to my desktop running Windows XP (home), I have problems with the printer failing to load single sheets of paper. The problem is that it will either refuse to load a single sheet or if it accepts a single sheet, it will run it right through the printer and display a paper error indicator. I have no problem when I use the Epson software. Any ideas or suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
