Curve creation disabled in v2.5.2?

Curve creation disabled in v2.5.2?

2007-10-20 by Joost Horsten

Just encountered the following bug(?)

I just upgraded from v2.5.0 to 2.5.2.0 (and later 2.5.2.1). To my
surprise the curve creation was disabled. I could select "curve
creation" of the "tools" tab in the main menu and could edit curves,
but only save the .qidf files. The "create curve" button that's
usually there now read "show curve" and I "save" option under
the "file" tab was grayed out.

My system: PC, windows XP-Pro, Epson 2100.

I DID select the curve creation tools when installing. I re-did the
installation several times, on two different machines, including a
QTR cleanout. But without result. Updating to 2.5.2.1 did not make
any difference

I went back to version 2.5.1 and everything is fine again. So no
urgent problem for me anymore, but thought I'd report it.

Curves are automatically created now when you save the .qidf file.

Feature request

2007-10-24 by Richard Smallfield

Hi Roy,
I wondered if a feature could be added to the Scale command in QTR - could a dimensions command be added so that you can specify the dimensions of the printed image, as you can in the Epson driver? That would make it easier to output the same file on different paper sizes - very useful when proofing.

thanks,
Richard

Amen. It would also be nice to show the length and width dimensions
under the print display window, so you can see an instant readout as
you use the UP and DOWN arrows.

Stephen will probably clarify but I'm pretty sure you can just right-click and
set a length or width dimension.

Yes, indeed you can. Also, if you just place your cursor over the image, it
will show you the dimensions.

Brilliant - thanks a lot. However I wonder if anything can be done to make this feature more obvious as I'm sure a lot of other people will have missed it.

Re: Feature request

Yup, I missed the size feature. Glad to know it's there. Very nice.

In your next release, it should would be nice to just add the image
dimensions below the display window so you can see the size as you use
the Up and Down size arrows. Just a nice little added convenience,
instead of having to move your cursor over the image.

I'd also like to suggest that in landscape mode you make it possible to
position the page relative to the RIGHT side of the page, since that is
the feed direction.

Great program and nice interface.

Feature request

Hi Roy,
I was just thinking - it might be handy to have QTR added to the Windows 'Send To' menu.

Any thoughts?

thanks,
Richard

Sounds like a good idea. Why don't you copy the shortcut and drop it into
your 'send to' folder. Then it will be in the 'Send to' menu. Look in your
documents and settings folder for the `SendTo` folder.
