Epson 7000 profile needs.

Epson 7000 profile needs.

2007-11-30 by culturalvisions

I'm setting up a 7000 for OSX Leopard. It was previously set-up for a
PC with QTR, Eboni and the old MIS-FS inks (as used in the Epson
3000). I have a lot of that ink left and it prints beautifully from a
PC using a profile that seems unavailable for a Mac. That is the
profile labeled Quad 7500 (for Epson Enhanced Matte). It seems to have
disappeared from newer menus of QTR profiles. Does anybody know where
I can find that Mac profile for those older inks?

I'm just hoping that the profile is still out there on some orphaned
link as my other options are not working. I've tried both a Boot Camp
and a VMware Fusion install of Windows XP--my MacBook Pro is not happy
with either.

Any suggestions? Thanks, Frank

Hi Frank,

If you have the profiles on the PC they are easy to move to the Mac.
Just put them into a folder on the Mac, then drag an install script i.e.
Install7000 into that folder and run it. It should give you a Quad7000
printer with the appropriate profiles. (you may need to use TextEdit
to remove a Quad7500 printer name).
