QTR-Quadtone RIP

I read some of the previous threads on this.  One challenge is that I
am running a 9880, which doesn't seem to be a profile listed in QTR. 
Also I tried following some of the other advice about looking in
system preferences > printers & fax, but it doesn't show up there.

I've installed 2.5.2 several times, installed the patch... and it's
there, because I even tried installing 2.5.1 and it said there is a
newer version installed.  But I can't find QTR anywhere on the computer.  

Help!  :-\

Hi Joel,

QTR under Mac OSX behaves like a normal printer in the system. 
Therefore, after installing QTR, you will have to install a new 
printer. The printer you're installing is your physical printer and 
instead of the corresponding printer driver you search for QuadTone 
Rip and the modell you own! In your case you will probably only find 
the 9800 and not the 9880 yet. Printing through QTR is done from any 
application selecting the print function and selecting your QTR 
printer.
