choosing printer

Hello, I'm new to the group. I'm running OS 10.5.2 My question is this. I've already chosen my printer in accord with the Epson manual. In reading Roys instructions to (re) choose your printer & rename it, there is no line in the diagnostic script beginning with 'mdns'. How do I then choose (rename) my printer so I can proceed & install the profiles, which by the way say 7600, not 7800. Thanks Joel Conison
