Using the ColorMunki with QTR

Using the ColorMunki with QTR

2008-04-17 by Keith Cooper

Hi

I've just put together a short guide on using the ColorMunki to produce
icc profiles with QTR

I believe that in future, QTR will directly support the exported data
format, but I've got a simple spreadsheet based hack that works fine
till then.

I've also produced new downloadable versions (A4 and US Letter) of my
standard B/W test print that include a ColorMunki compatible 21 Patch
strip. Do note that the order of patches is not the same as in the Eye
One folder in QTR, since having the first patch as 35% leads to missed
measurements with the current ColorMunki firmware and software.

it's at
http://www.northlight-
images.co.uk/article_pages/bw_printing/bw_print_colormunki.html

I'll update it to reflect future changes in QTR functionality, but once
again hats off to Roy for providing the original functionality :-)

bye for now

The URL got a bit mangled - should have been
http://www.northlight-images.co.uk/article_pages/bw_printing/bw_print_co\
lormunki.html
<http://www.northlight-images.co.uk/article_pages/bw_printing/bw_print_c\
olormunki.html>

If anyone has a ColorMunki and tries it, I'd appreciate knowing how well
it reads the patches on your particular paper?
bye for now

No it really is quite light - the paper is actually PermaJet Smooth Art Silk
 - I've just corrected the article ... I put 'Smooth fine art' in by mistake

probably because there is a roll of it sitting on my desk at the moment :-)

Sorry for the confusion. Smooth Art silk works very well on my 9600 (Pk)
as does SFA
