QTR-Quadtone RIP

I have having trouble with my Epson 2200 printing with the QRIP. 
Sometimes it works and other times the paper will not feed through
the 
printer.  It begins the process then abruptly quits before any
printing 
has actually taken place.  I eventually receive a message telling me 
there is an error.  I updated to the current version of QRIP hoping
to 
eliminate the problem, but it didn't help.  I am open to any 
suggestions. Dee

What paper are you using? How are you feeding it (top
stack feeder or back single feed)?

I fed the Epson Enhanced Matt on top.  The Epson Fine Art Velvet I 
did both on top and single sheet in the back.  The printer makes some 
noises as if preparing to feed, the paper does a little jingle, and 
that's it.  The printer will print using the Epson driver from within 
PSCS2.  dee

I have had similar problems in the past, with Entrada Fine Art 300 and 
my Epson 2200, feeding thru the top hopper and I refuse to manually 
sheet feed it thru the back.  The solution, as silly as it sounds, was 
to have several sheets of PLAIN PRINTER paper (6 or 8) in the top 
hopper, with the fine art paper on top.  The printer then grabs the FA 
paper and prints on it just fine.  Sometimes it pulls some of the plain 
paper with it, but I just pull all of the plain paper out and restack 
it.  That worked for me.  Multi stacking the FA paper did NOT work.

for top feeding of the paper.  dee
