QTR-Quadtone RIP

Hi Group,

I really hope this group takes off.

I have been reading the DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint group.  While
this is a nice group it is not focused on the subject that is
important to me, and that is the Quadtone RIP.

Let me introduce myself.

I am an electronic engineer.  I have worked in remote sensing
(airborne sensors and satellite ground stations) and color science
(designing proofers for the graphic arts industry).

I have a Leaf Valeo 22 megapixel digital back on my Hasselblad and
print on an Epson 4000.

I am a member of the Western Photographic Circle, which is a print
making club.

Good luck and I hope we can attract Roy Harrington over to this group.

Hi Everyone,
Sometimes I engage my hands before my brain, and in doing so forgot
to introduce myself.Im Alan from tower bridge in london Im just getting into photography and thought maybe I need to get into printing with a
descent entry level printer so purchased the epson 1400.

Its been a bumpy road with more paper wasted than I care to remember.
I think what keeps me going is every now and then things all click
into place and its those moments when that print is almost out and
its the bee's knees of a print, those are the moments why I keep going.
