X-Rite 408 reflection densitometer for sale

2008-11-07 by Piet Weber

Hi,

I have a X-rite 408 color densitometer for sale for european users (230V power supply).
For the moment I'll sell it exlusively on the QTR site, as I have used this machine to create
QTR profiles succesfully (for color correction in tinted (warm, cold, neutal, etc) curves and
the necesary calibration). Check internet for specs.

I will be happy to pass it on for 100 euro's ex. shipment costs.

The sale consists of the densitometer, original protective bag, manual, power supply
(230V), one ceramic calibration plaque (old), one 1994 color calibration strip. The latter is
quite accurate, values that are wrong compared to a recently bought strip are corrected
with a pen by myself. New calibration strips are still available. I have seen them on eBay
recently.

This densitometer uses Ni-Cad batteries for operation without power supply. While
connected to the supply, the batteries should charge. I have always used it with old
batteries that never really charged. That's why I can tell you that when dead batteries are
used and no power supply is connected the calibration setting are lost. Calibrating will
take less than a minute, so no problem. Use fresh ni-cad batteries and this problem is
over.

So you can use this densitometer without any problem, it is accurate enough for profiling
QTR, but when you are picky, buy a new calibration card, as the old one is, whell old.

email me if you are interested in buying, I do not check this forum for replies. I'll send you
pictures if you like.

Payment through PayPal is possible, as is IBAN bank transaction.

Cheers
