R1800 and 3-MK: PShop profiles

R1800 and 3-MK: PShop profiles

2008-11-24 by p5198

I've just set up for this workflow with a new 1800. In his description
of 3-MK, Paul Roark references the David Brooks article in
*Shutterbug*. Brooks speaks of loading a profile into Photoshop to
which the greyscale image is converted for (presumably) soft proofing.
The <Convert to Profile> command in PShop should enable me to select a
<Destination Space> called "QTR - Grey Matte Paper" supposedly
installed as part of QTR. I can't find this profile in my newly
downloaded copy of QTR. What do I use for softproofing EEM, for example?

The ICCs are in /QuadToneRIP/icc. Where to save the ICCs to is listed on
page 4 of http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/Making_B-W_ICCs-GrayCard.pdf
