QTR+1400+EB6/UT14 workflow?

QTR+1400+EB6/UT14 workflow?

It seems the QTR install for the Epson1400 only supports Claria, K7
and Eboni-black-only. What is the procedure for using EB-6 or UT14? I
don't have hardware to create curves.

I have posted some QTR profiles at
http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/1400-Profiles.zip

In general I use the Epson driver with ICCs made with QTR when the entire
Eboni-6 inkset is to be used. See
http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/Eboni-6.pdf for my general and 1400 Eboni-6
approach.

For my general UT14 approach, see http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/UT14.pdf
This write-up is also mostly for an Epson driver approach.

There may a few useful QTR rip profiles for these inksets. The Zip simply
has what I have in my folder.

For the QTR rip, I generally expect users to know how to make appropriate
profiles.

The Eboni-6 "YK" approach is my latest experiment here. It looks like just
using the Y and K inks gives excellent smoothness and a more flexible tonal
range when combined with a black only profile, using the sliders. Anyone
with Eboni-6 can give this a test drive and see the comparison. I was
initially interested in this for CIS use. All one would have to have is an
Eboni bottle and Eb6Y bottle. These 2 would (and are on my 2200) feed the
entire system: 3Y & 3K. I modified a CIS to take the tubes - easy with a
drill. Easier use/maintenance and more flexible print tones are appealing.
