QTR-Quadtone RIP

I took a look at the Eye-One device mentioned in the User Guide. It
happens that there are different models. Most of them are "not
affordable" (to me) ($1000+ to infinity):-(
Or is the affordable one (X-Rite Eye-One Display II) a somehow usable
alternative?

I have a non-UV cut Eye One that I have replaced with one with a UV  
filter.  It works perfectly.  I'd sell it for $750, half of what I  
paid for it.
