Epson 1280 - MIS UT2 Eboni - Printing B/W Images

Epson 1280 - MIS UT2 Eboni - Printing B/W Images

2009-08-06 by mbrouphy

That's it in a nutshell:

I'm using an Epson 1280 to print black and white images converted from the original color RAW capture. I use CS4 ACR to converted and manipulate the image into a monochrome image. I'm printing on Red River Greenpix matte paper.

Can someone please give me the recommended settings for the QTR-GUI.

Thanks, Mike

I have used this printer and ink for years. I would pick a setting for a paper that is similar, maybe Epson Enhanced Matte. I would save those settings with a different name like Greenpix or something. I would then get rid of the lineariztion info and print a steptablet for each of the settings: cool, warm, sepia etc. I would then read these prints on a densitometer and put the info in for linearization. This would give you a good starting spot.
