Printer won't print

I'm having a terrible time with my printer refusing to print. I believe it's being caused by some old remnants of the old QuadToneRIP. Once the problem is solved, I'll then download the latest QTR software and install it. My computer is a Power Mac G5 running Tiger 10.4.11 using an Epson R2400Printer. Using the uninstall software for QTR version 2.6 did not work. It would not successfully launch. So I manually removed every item/folder labelled QTR, QuadTone Rip, QuadToneRIP on my computer in the computer or user folders for applications, library, preferences, etc. However, the printer list still shows: Name Kind Stylus Photo R2400 Epson SP R2400 (2). Stylus Photo R2400 QuadToneRIP 2.6 Epson R2400 If I don't manually delete the second listing (for the QTR), I can not print regardless of what application I use -- preview, Word, email, etc. The printer error message refers to: successful-ok-conflicting-attributes. Also, I can not work in Photoshop CS4. The CS4 application launches and then immediately quits. If I delete the second listing (for the QTR), I can print and I can launch CS4. However, as soon as I restart the computer, the second printer appears again and I have the same printing and CS4 problems. How can I find this last remaining trace of QTR and get rid of it? I would appreciate any help anyone could give me.
