7500/7600 roll paper anomaly: larger top and bottom boders than spec'd

I was using a 7500 until recently. I found that when printing with QTR, 0.5" was added to both the leading and trailing edges of the print beyond the page size specified in Page Setup. Now I've moved to a 7600, 0.5" is being added to the leading edge only. I have been setting my paper sizes and borders to take account of what happens at the printer. But I wonder if there's any explanation? I'm printing from a Mac G4 tower running 10.4.11 from CS3 via QTR 2.62. (Earlier versions of QTR acted the same way.)--John Wilton
