problem with calibration mode in QTR and Ultratone 3D

Hello, i would like to use an Epson R285 with QTR an MIS Ultratone 3D. When i am printing the 6-channel calibration file in calibration mode the six channels are flooding the paper. After i set the ink limit to 30% the ink also flooding the paper, it is not possible to get six lines with different fields. All the fields over 25-30% are black flooded. I can remember that a few years before it was easy to make curves for an epson 2200, but today i is not possible for me to make curves for this epson R285. Why does this printer (or QTR) put out so much ink?
