unable to install curve

unable to install curve

2010-02-26 by Joel

If this is posted a second time I apologize. I'm running snow leopard and have run into the problem of not being able to install a new curve. When I put the ink descriptor file into the install folder & install, a dialogue box from Terminal tells me that QRT doesn't recognize epson 7800, therefore my curve does not show up in the QRT print dialogue 'choose curve'. QTR was already installed (latest version & patch installed after snow leopard was installed). My QRT printer is Quad7800.

My second problem is the ink separation file will not print. I've set Mode to QuadTone RIP Calibration but the paper just moves through the printer unprinted.

A final question. I use an iOne but am not sure how to measure the Lab values.

Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks
Joel

Joel,

I've not moved to snow leopard yet but think I can solve one of your
problems. I couldn't print the ink separation file with PS CS4, but it
will print with PS CS3.
