QTR-Quadtone RIP

OK. 

I've finally got myself some cartridges that are compatible with the espon 1410 and filled them with MIS' eboni 6 inkset.  Now when I go to install QTR (running the install command in profiles for the 1400) it notes that the epson 1410 printer is not supported.  Disaster!

Is there any way around this?  Anyone else in the Asia Pacific sorted this one out.  It's a right pain in the neck that epson makes the same model for out here but it seems with some subtle differences (the chips for one thing, and now this).

I know inkjetmall sells a CIS system for the 1410 so someone must be getting this thing moving.

Grateful for any help - keen to get printing.

Is not the Epson 1410 the same as an Epson 1400 sold worldwide except in North America?

Have you tried selecting the Epson 1400 in QTR and printed from there?

There seem to be a few tricks with the 1410.  Roy has me back on track.  The solution was to name the printer Quad1400-MIS (the "-MIS" being important) and select Print Using:  QuadToneRIP 2.7 Epson 1400 in the printer driver set ups.  Otherwise QTR will not recognise the 1410.
