!800 3Mk & profiling with QTR

!800 3Mk & profiling with QTR

Paul's helpful notes and a bit of time have given me a set of new profiles that give noticeably better tone than with the 'guessed' existing ones.
One question though.
Am I right in assuming that the linearized slope (solid black) should be straight ?
So far mine tend to have a convex curve, although a smooth one.
I am using a scanner for reading the test ramp.
Chris.

Using QTR 2.6 with R3880 on Windows XP

2010-10-21 by Mike Finley

I want to create some curves for the 3880 on Windows XP, which presents
a problem:
QTR 2.6 doesn't support the 3880
QTR 2.7 is broken on the PC for curve generation

I've searched through the list messages and there are instructions for
using QTR 2.6 with the 3880 on Macs (by making it appear to be a 3800),
but not for PCs.

can anyone advise how to get the 3880 to appear to be a 3800 for QTR 2.6
on a PC running Windows XP, please (or failing that on Windows 7, though
I don't really want to upgrade at present)

Thanks,
mike

Thanks Roger - I missed that one! (maybe I just searched on 3880 in subject)

I have QTR 2.7 installed on Windows XP. I downloaded the two files
noted below, extracted them and exchanged them with the old files of the same name. My printout in calibration mode is still all greyscale. Should not the patch make this print out in colors as version 2.6 does? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Joe
