creating custom curves

2010-07-14 by melodi.roberts

I have read Diallo's workflow document regarding creating custom curves. It calls for the demo version of ProfileMaker Pro which it looks like is no longer available. I didn't see demo versions of their later products available either.

I would like to be able to create custom curves; however, does this mean I need to purchase more software similar to ProfileMaker Pro. That's pretty darn expensive.

Have others simply modified the curves and settings to make existing curves work for other papers, i.e. Museo Silver Rag or Harmon Warm FB gloss?

Thanks very much for any feedback.

It's not a separate "demo" version. Just download the regular ProfileMaker Pro
product. Install it and you find the MeasureTool app. It's usable as is for
what you need.

Thank you for the information and affordable RIP. I am getting excited about printing again after having started working with your product.
