QTR for Pt/Pd: CS 5 + Epson R2400 problems

2011-12-28 by kenleegallery

Using QTR 2.7 I tried printing the 8-color calibration target onto
Pictorio Premium OHP, and I get only a small number of colors appearing
on the page.

Most of the cells are empty. See
http://www.kenleegallery.com/QTR/QTRTest1.jpg
<http://www.kenleegallery.com/QTR/QTRTest1.jpg>

Is there a fundamental incompatibility that I should be aware of ? Is PS
5 unsupported ?

The instructions I have found, cover the use of an Epson 3800 and an
older version of Photoshop. Can more current instructions be found
anywhere ?

Thanks in advance !

There was a thread on this a few days ago Ken. Just look down the messages page a little.

Could you tell me the title of the thread please ? The ones I see don't seem to cover my question, and I may have missed something.

Thank you very much !

Here's what I missed, located on the Adobe instructions at
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/834/cpsid_83497.html
<http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/834/cpsid_83497.html>

"Mac OS

     Expand the Print dialog box by clicking the arrow next to the
Printer pop-up menu.

     Use the pop-up menu in the middle of the dialog box to locate the
options for paper type and color management. The menu choices and
locations for these options change depending on your printer driver.

      Set Paper Type to the paper that most closely resembles the paper
you're profiling.

     Set Color Management to Off. Some printer drivers turn off Color
Management automatically."

Thank you very much.

Perhaps there is a better view than the one I'm using, because that thread doesn't show on it, even though the view goes back to December 10.

The view I'm using, is what you get when you click on the "Messages" menu item which appears on the upper-left of the page.

If there is a better view, I'd love to use it.

Thanks again !!
