Re: 191j PSU question

Hi Olivier

I checked the 191J circuit and I'm pretty sure the current limit on the
±15V regulator is about 700mA but I wouldn't load it beyond 500mA. The
classic setup and 181 keyboard draws about 280mA from +15V, 230mA from -
15V and about 40mA from 22V. This is all taken from the circuit
diagrams and not measured so I can't guarantee the info but you can
clearly drive more than 5 modules and a keyboard from a 191J. By the
way the 100m I bought from you is still working well having converted
the 191J's 100VAC supply to 230VAC.

Best regards
Tony

Hi all

Tony, thanks for the informations.
I'm glad your system is still working well.

I have 2 191j bases i use for a few modules and a 180 keyboard (and occasionally for parts).
I also have a small Blacet system (works nice with the 100m) and a growing Synth.com one.
I'm thinking to build custom DIN cables properly wired to power future Synth.com modules.
I already have a Synth.com QPS2 PSU (the smallest one) and was thinking to order a QPS1 with some modules but the weight of the PSU dramatically increases the shipping costs.

Anything i should be advise before going this way ?

Best
Olivier
