RE: [Roland_Jupiters] love my JP-8

2008-09-29 by Doug Hardy

Great to see another Jupiter-8 owner on here. I have one myself that I'm
sadly parted from as it's in my home country of Australia while I'm in the
UK.

I think mine is probably due a good check-up and service, which I'll do when
I next go back... it's a bit like going to the dentist though isn't it? You
don't really want to know if anything's wrong!

Subject: [Roland_Jupiters] love my JP-8

Hi, been lurking for awhile, don't see a lot except spam going on. I'm
a longtime synth geek. I have a perfect Jupiter-8 that is one of my
prized possessions. I gigged it twice in the late 90's, but don't have
a proper case for it. It lives in the home studio forever now.

I had read that it's so heavy that it can eventually bend itself on
some keyboard stands. I cut a piece of 7/8" plywood, and after a year
or two, I see that is is starting to bend that!
