RE: [Roland_Jupiters] love my JP-8

2008-09-30 by Tim Wellens

Hello guyz!
Indeed long time no hear so let's bring da JP8 back in buziness :-)
My Jup8 just sits on a table in my studio, but before that I had a (pretty strong) X-stand but after some years it started to bend because of the JP8...A heavy synth with heavenly sounds :-)
Mine is in very good condition, except in wintertime: it takes half-an-hour before the DCB accepts/transmits signals from my KENTON PRO-DCB... I bought a brand new DCB cable from Kenton but the problem still exists... What I do now is to keep the temperature in my studio up,but this ofcourse is a bit expensive...But as I have alot of vintage gear,it's better to keep it all a bit warm don't you guyz think?
bye

It now (also) lives in my studio. I placed it on a hard-board vinyl-coated plate, supported by four placeholders which are tightly screwed into the concrete wall of my humble home studio.
