Thanks for the tips on the Jup-8.  I'll try the tune button and get back
to you on that one.  And yes, the heat sink gets real hot.  It seems I
remember having a self diagnostic test for the Jup-8 that I downloaded
off the internet a few years ago in case I ever owned a Jup-8, I should
look for that now.  This must be the test mode you are referring to.
I'll see if I can find my file on that.

I'm selling my DX5 for $499.  It comes with original manual and data
carts.  Very cool synth, but I lack the space for all my many toys - and
I'm still paying off the Jup-8.  I sadly also just parted with my OBXa.
